I receive calls from headhunters asking me to get back into it roughly twice a week because there is such a high demand for real, effective "trading strategies" at the moment.

Not that there aren't people who want to work in that field; rather, the issue is that the majority of their strategies don't work out as planned. They break the fundamental risk management guidelines that all institutions must adhere to when it comes to investing, or they are grossly overfitted, back tested but not traded, or based on a mysterious and distinctly non-quantitative force.

In the meantime, all of their previous tactics are failing, and they think that finding the right riders will take care of the horses themselves. That is their opinion.

Let us therefore believe you when you say you have what you say you have.

Really, I would give prop trading companies a cold call. Speak with risk management or the "new strategy review" department. Someone in risk will be able to connect you with the person who examines new trading strategies, whatever name they give them. Inform them that you can provide your risk metrics, that your financials have been audited, and that you would like to discuss their investment in your book. All you need to do then is provide documentation and frank answers to their inquiries, and you'll be good to go.
