Shark Tank India: Following the Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal strike deal at boAt, a startup is accused of making fraudulent claims:

The Cricket Bat Manufacturers Association of Kashmir (CBMAK) has demanded that Sony Pictures Networks and Tramboo Sports issue a public apology and pay compensation of Rs. 100 crore for their false claims on Shark Tank India Season 3.

On January 30, Shark Tank India Season 3 broadcast an episode featuring Tramboo Sports, a producer of cricket bats. The enterprise from Jammu and Kashmir was represented by two young entrepreneurs, Saad and Hamad Tramboo. The Cricket Bat Manufacturers Association of Kashmir (CBMAK) has now filed a lawsuit against Tramboo Sports and Sony Pictures Networks.

Claims made by Tramboo Sports that they are the only manufacturers of cricket bats made from Kashmir willow have been refuted by CBMAK. According to CBMAK, these claims deceived the public and negatively affected the businesses of its members, which resulted in lower sales and harm to the industry's reputation in Kashmir that makes bats.

CBMAK said Kashmirdotcom, "We express astonishment at the claims made by Tramboo Sports on the 'Shark Tank India' Season 3 episode dated 30th January 2024."

It said, "CBMAK highlights its position as the authentic and exclusive representative of Kashmir's cricket bat producers."
