It is increasingly gaining traction as placement numbers depict a worrying image for pupils. Dheeraj Singh, an IIT Kanpur alumnus and the founder of Global IIT Alumni Support Group, revealed data based on an RTI filed by him, revealing that placements may not be an easy and profitable process this year. According to Singh, the IITs may see a bigger number of unplaced students than in past years. He computed the numbers from the RTI data he received.
